G'day All,

This my first blog ever!

Well the crew are all packed and raring to go.  In fact 4 are either in the air over the Indian Ocean or in Switzeland and the balance (6), including me, are awaiting a flight out of  Wagga.

It's an understatement to say we are excited especially after watching a gripping Stage 5 of the TDF late last night/early this morning  (Sad to see Froome out of the TDF).

Whilst I am thrilled with the lovely winter conditions we have had here in Wagga, and in the Australian Alps, i am certainly looking forward to having the warm sun on my back of an European summer.

In short we will be spending 7 days in the French alps (including seeing 1 stage of the TDF), 2 days in Provence to climb Mt Ventoux, 4 days in the Pyrenees (including seeing 1 stage of the TDF) and 3 days in Paris (including being on the Champs-Elysees for the final day - AWSOME) and then its back to Wagga.  During our stays in each region we will be riding many of the famous climbs and experiencing its hospitality (which is the main objective of the trip).

We will try and keep the blog updated with photo's and I promise only blogs that short and informative will be posted (unless the author is entertaining).

Stay tuned.

Au revior
Simon
